Season’s Greetings from ISGE | 40 Years of Growth, One Shared Future

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends of ISGE,

As the year draws to a close, it is a real pleasure for me to send you my warmest Season’s Greetings on behalf of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE).

Looking ahead to 2026, we find ourselves at a truly meaningful crossroads. ISGE will celebrate its 40th Anniversary—forty years of scientific curiosity, international collaboration, education, and commitment to supporting both established professionals and the next generation of clinicians and researchers. This anniversary is not only a moment to look back with pride, but above all an invitation to continue growing, expanding, and shaping the future together.

Since its foundation in 1986, ISGE has pursued a clear mission: to promote science and research in all aspects of gynecological endocrinology and to foster communication among professionals worldwide. Over the decades, this vision has translated into concrete achievements that many of you have helped build: a biennial international congress that has become a global meeting point; ISGRE, our online educational school, now offering 19 certified courses with two more starting soon; over 100 scholarships awarded at each congress to support young students and researchers; the creation of FISGE, uniting societies worldwide devoted to gynecological endocrinology; the ISGE Book Series with Springer; and two open access journals, Gynecological Endocrinology and GREM, ensuring the widest possible dissemination of knowledge.

These accomplishments reflect a shared belief: that education, research, and collaboration are most powerful when they are accessible, international, and forward-looking.

This spirit will be at the heart of the ISGE International Congress, taking place March 4–6, 2026, at La Nuvola in Rome. This Congress will be the centerpiece of our anniversary year—a moment where we will finally meet in person to celebrate 40 years of ISGE, while also laying the foundations for what lies ahead. Dedicated celebratory moments will be embedded in the program, and all members will be invited to take part, because this journey belongs to our entire community.

Rome 2026 will also mark important steps toward the future. During the Congress, we will certify the first ISGE Expert Practitioners, alongside the Advanced Practitioners, reinforcing our commitment to structured, high-quality professional recognition. We will also present two new ISGRE courses, the first focusing on bleeding disorders in women, further strengthening our educational offer and its direct impact on daily clinical practice.

Throughout 2026, additional online and in-person scientific and educational events will be announced, ensuring continuous opportunities to learn, connect, and grow—wherever you are in the world.

Today’s communication technologies allow us to overcome traditional space and time barriers, amplifying our ability to share knowledge, support professionals in their daily work, and empower young colleagues at the beginning of their careers. This is the horizon toward which ISGE is moving: a Society that is increasingly connected, inclusive, and influential, firmly rooted in its history and fully open to innovation.

I sincerely look forward to meeting you in Rome, to celebrating what we have built together and to continuing this journey—side by side—toward an even stronger future for gynecological endocrinology.

With my very best wishes for the Season and for a successful year ahead,

Prof. Simoncini
President
International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE)
