May 8 – World Ovarian Cancer Day: ISGE Joins the Global Voice for Awareness

May 8 is World Ovarian Cancer Day, a global awareness initiative launched in 2013 by advocacy leaders to unite voices in the fight against one of the most serious gynecologic cancers. Organized by the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition, the day is supported by over 200 organizations worldwide, all working to promote awareness, early detection, and improved outcomes for women.

As a global society committed to advancing women’s health through innovation and education, the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) proudly supports this important cause. Today, we stand in solidarity with patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates around the world.

In recognition of this day, we are pleased to share a special message from our President, Prof. Tommaso Simoncini, highlighting ISGE’s ongoing commitment to improving gynecologic care and supporting early intervention in ovarian cancer through advanced endoscopic techniques and global collaboration.

We also encourage our members and followers to explore the educational materials provided by the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition, which include fact sheets and resources designed to inform and empower.

Let us unite our efforts today — and every day — to give voice to those affected by ovarian cancer and to strive toward a future where early detection and effective treatment are accessible to all.
